What’s the role?
- Help create all events on our website, Eventbrite and Facebook
- Calls and emails to invite potential guests
- Firm-up registrations via email and voice calls
- Guest management: cancellations, dietary requirements etc
- Supplier liaison with event joining details
- Liaison with Partnership team – making sure all suppliers are up to date
- Name badge creation and management
- Venue liaison and main point of contact: menus, final numbers, event format
- In-person attendance at 30+ events a year including hosting, presenting, sponsor liaison
- Capture footage of each event and share on social media
- Assist on any other events as needed
- Attendance at trade events as required
- Regular meetings with line manager to update them on events
What you’ll need
- Highly organised, low-stress approach to handling many events at different stages
- Firm, professional liaison with 3rd party venue teams to ensure smooth event delivery
- Friendly, positive, ‘can do’ attitude to ensure guest and sponsor satisfaction
- Ability and enthusiasm to travel solo around the UK
- IT and social media savvy
- Outgoing personality, comfortable hosting events with warmth and humour
- B2B events and or travel trade experience preferred but not essential
- Ideally you are located in the Midlands or London with easy access to the UK rail network
- Between February and November you will be required to stay overnight for 2 days a week, travelling throughout the UK.
