Role Description
We are seeking a strategic and technical leader to oversee the development, governance, security, and operational excellence of our global platform infrastructure. This role integrates DevOps, platform engineering, and infrastructure management to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available platforms that empower our engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-functional team of Platform Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Database Administrators (DBAs) to enable a high-performing, cloud-first environment.
- Drive developer self-service capabilities, cloud-native adoption, and operational resilience while ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
- Define the future roadmap for platform services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and engineering needs.
- Oversee CI/CD governance, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards, and platform engineering transformation.
- Provide strategic direction for hybrid, multi-cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, on-premises) and ensure cost optimisation and efficiency.
- Ensure platform security aligns with ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR compliance.
- Lead and mentor a team, fostering a DevOps culture and promoting continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in platform engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure management.
- Strong leadership and strategic direction skills.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies and hybrid, multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
