Outskirts of Newark | £32k DOE | Full Time | Permanent

Our clients, well established in their field with an ambitious growth plan, have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Ledger / Credit Controller to join their finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Sales Ledger / Credit Controller will be responsible for managing end-to-end sales ledger and maximising cash collection while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Raise and issue customer invoices ensuring accounts are up to date and reconciled.
  • Allocate cash receipts and resolve invoice queries and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate customer files including credit limits and terms.
  • Chase overdue debts via phone and email and escalate high-risk or long-overdue accounts.
  • Agree payment plans, place accounts on stop and release orders in line with policy.
  • Produce aged debtor reports and cash collection forecasts.
  • Report on overdue balances, disputes, and credit risks.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Assist with month-end reporting deadlines.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role you must have previous experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of the accounts receivable processes. You must be a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner and a high attention to detail. Intermediate Excel skills and SAGE knowledge are also required.
