Overview

Electrical Shift Engineer – Doncaster / Rotherham. Permanent position with a salary of £47k and 33 days holiday (inc Stats). The role is for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer currently working mornings and afternoons, with the ability to work nights and weekends as required by the business.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking planned preventative and breakdown maintenance (around 70% electrical).
  • Primarily attending to issues with motors, inverters, electro-pneumatics, hydraulics, drives/gearboxes, pumps & seals, conveyor systems, and related services.
  • Creating maintenance instructions.
  • Using continuous improvement tools & techniques and carrying out root cause analysis.
  • Undertaking breakdown analysis and identifying follow-up work.

Qualifications

  • Experience of undertaking planned preventative maintenance & breakdown repairs.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools & techniques, root cause analysis.
  • Multiskilled but with an electrical bias.
  • PLC/software interrogation & fault finding (Siemens S5 – S7).
  • Manufacturing background – ideally FMCG.
  • Be apprentice trained or have equivalent qualifications.

  • Shift pattern: Days 6am-2pm, Afternoons 2pm-10pm, Nights 10pm-6am (Sunday-Thursday).
  • Weekend team: 12hr Sat and 12hr Sun plus either an 8-hour shift Friday or Monday, depending on priorities.
