A Sheet Metal manufacturer seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy workshop. You will manage a multi-skilled team ensuring the delivery and quality of fabricated assemblies to customer orders.
As the Production Supervisor you will:
- Oversee welding, fabrication, press brake areas and general build and assembly processes
- Manage the stores staff and area and monitor stock levels in line with production projects
- Issue work instructions and drawings and ensure staff work in line with SOPs
- Check product quality, ensuring production deadlines are met
- Ensure H&S, write risk assessments and method statements, and undertake toolbox talks
- People management including training, development and motivation, performance, ensuring quality output, maintaining discipline, managing attendance, holidays, and shift schedules
The role will be 60% management and 40% hands-on.
As the Production Supervisor you will:
- Be a fully trained Sheet Metal worker with previous experience of leading a small team
- Be confident working on press brake, guillotines, plasma cutters and punch machines
- Possess strong leadership and team management skills
- Have intermediate computer skills
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Have knowledge of quality systems and H&S regulations
- Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
