Temporary Production Planner position with a Wellingborough‑based client in the dry food industry. Monday‑Friday, 08:30–17:00, £16.82 per hour.

About the Client: Leading player within the dry food industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Production planning of finished and semi‑finished goods and inter‑site stock replenishment.
  • Build strong working relationships with the supply chain team and production.
  • Work closely with the Demand Planner/Supply Chain Manager to ensure accurate forecasts and challenge where appropriate.
  • Ensure daily and weekly plans are determined and issued in a timely manner.
  • Secure material substitutions and request concessions, life extensions, and raw materials as required.
  • Run monthly capacity and labour analysis to highlight potential constraints.
  • Generate daily/weekly labour plans that optimise efficiency, minimise cost (yield loss) and satisfy customer demand.
  • Ongoing monitoring of finished goods and raw material stocks; ensure data accuracy for both imported and manufactured goods.
  • Regular communication with Customer Services to highlight potential service issues.
  • Responsible for all stock management and warehouse replenishment.
  • Regular reporting of KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, data protection, food safety and quality.
  • Maintain a strong customer service ethos and exceed customer expectations.
  • Operate as an effective member of the supply chain team to help push business performance boundaries.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a planning position within a manufacturing, FMCG or supply chain environment.
  • Excellent understanding of logistics stock controls.
  • Track record of managing business demands.
  • Strong customer service ethos.
