Maintenance Technician – £45k – £48k – S63 (Rotherham) Electrically biased Maintenance Technician, the role: A days only position to cover all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance and repair work on plant, equipment and building services. * Providing technical support to production personnel. * Actively supporting any improvement projects from a mechanical, electrical perspective. * Support PLC controlled automated picking system to operate at its maximum efficiency. * Undertake reactive and preventative maintenance activities of the automated equipment on site. * Lead / support on any automation breakdowns and escalations. * To ensure that PPMs are carried out on time and in the correct manner in coordination with the management team. * To ensure that the ALL work is logged onto the companies planned maintenance system. * Root cause analysis on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. * To assist with ensuring 5s standards are achieved and maintained. Electrically biased Maintenance Technician, requirements: * Time served Apprentice (or equiv). * Ideally, we are looking for a recognised qualification in both Electrical and Mechanical. * An electrical qualification is essential. * H&S Trained (desirable but not essential as training will be provided). * Automated PLC controlled picking system experience (preferred, but training also provided). * Competent with working at height. This Electrically biased Maintenance Technician role would suit a PLC experienced maintenance engineer or a service technician who would like to work close to home and days only – home every night and every weekend! You will be joining a team which strives to meet targets within a positive working environment As well as a salary between £45k and £48k, the Maintenance Technician will expect: Weekly hours: Days only, 37.5hrs per week – flexi start and finish times Daily Hours: Mon to Fri, 7.5 hrs per day between 7.30am to 6pm Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays this increases by 1 per year up to 25 + stats Pension: matched to 7% Environment: Friendly and supportive team Other benefits: Free onsite parking, canteen facilities, free tea & coffee, free fruit Friday and Healthcare (AXA cover for individual only) Duration: Permanent Travail employment group is operating as an employment agency
