HGV Mechanic – £45,903p/a – Monday to Friday only – Doncaster The position of HGV Mechanic is 45.5 hrs a week on a 2 weekly rota as follows: Wk1: 6am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 2pm Friday Wk2: 12noon to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 12noon to 8pm Friday Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays Pension: Company contributions min of 7% up to 10% Extras: Employee assistance program, free parking, on a bus route, near to the train station Environment: Looking after the fleet for a heavy industrial processing plant Future: Expanding business, excellent opportunities The HGV Mechanic will inspect, report, repair, and service all the company’s fleet from trailers, road vehicles, and factory transport. The role is varied and depends on the needs of the department. It will include the inspection and conduct of pre-MOT checks to DVSA/VOSA standards with all related paperwork to be completed accurately and in good time as well as general garage housekeeping. The team is small which means that everyone supports each other with a range of ad hoc duties, as required. To apply, you will need: Full UK Driving Licence – HGV Class C+E licence is essential. An industry recognised qualification, either City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3. Have previous HGV mechanical experience with excellent mechanical diagnostic skills.
