Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer Operator with experience of Mazak / Mazatrol or Fanuc to work for a well-established engineering company based in Grantham. Due to the ongoing success and growth of the company, they are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer Operator to work in a long-term stable role with a great work–life balance, and an early finish on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machines from engineering drawings
- Working primarily with Fanuc / Mazak machines, preferably using Mazatrol controls
- Editing, proving, and optimising programs to improve efficiency
- Setting and operating machines as required
- Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out self-inspection and ensuring quality standards are met
- Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a precision engineering environment
- Strong experience with Mazak / Mazatrol programming (highly desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Good understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
