The forklift Service Engineer role involves working in a service and repair capacity for an established and successful business. The position includes the service, repair, and planned maintenance of material handling equipment, which may involve both field service and workshop-based work. A company vehicle will be provided for field service tasks, so a full driving licence is required.
Key tasks include:
- Diagnosing equipment faults and problem-solving on forklifts
- Repairing, servicing, and performing planned maintenance on equipment
- Field service and workshop-based work
- Preparing customer reports and paperwork on the equipment
The ideal candidate will have good mechanical, hydraulic, and basic 12v electrical experience related to this type of equipment. Any knowledge of LOLER regulations would also be advantageous.

Salary: £32,000 + Bonus up to £2,500 per annum + overtime at time and a half
Location: Chipping Sodbury, BS37
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8.00 - 4.30pm and 3.30pm on Fridays (39 hours per week)
Benefits: 22 days rising to 25 days holidays + bank holidays, pension
