Fettler

Doncaster / Worksop – Permanent – 26,900 plus plenty of O/T – Monday to Friday 39hours

Our client is keen to strengthen their fabrication team with a fettler / labourer. This secure role for a reliable steel fettler with experience from within the steelwork or construction industry. This role requires a strong focus on safety and attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Fettler; the job:

Read and interpret engineering drawings / specs and follow H&S regs including the use of PPE.

Use grinding, sanding and cutting tools to remove burrs, weld spatter and rough edges from machined components.

Safely operate hand tools and power tools such as angle grinders, files, chisels, and saws.

Inspect fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances and assist welders and fabricators in preparing materials for further processing.

This is an industrial setting, which may include exposure to loud noise, dust, and varying weather conditions, all relevant PPE supplied.

Physical stamina is essential as the role involves manual labour and extended periods of standing.

Fettler; Benefits

Pay rate: 13.21 p/h + overtime

Overtime 1: Saturday x 1.5 time

Overtime 2: Sunday Double time

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 6am-2:30pm & Friday 6am-1pm (39-hour week with plenty of overtime available). May involve shift work depending on company requirements.

Holidays: 24 days annual leave + bank holidays
