Shift Pattern: 2-Week Rotation

Ready to take the lead in a fast-paced engineering environment? We are recruiting an Engineering Shift Team Leader for a well-established manufacturing site where no two days are the same. This is a dynamic, on-the-floor role that puts you right at the heart of production - perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, supporting others, and keeping essential equipment performing at its best.

With an electrical bias and strong fault-finding ability, you will be the go-to person when challenges arise and the driving force behind a motivated shift team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing engineers on shift
  • Supporting the Engineering Manager with day-to-day goals and performance
  • Planning and delivering effective preventive maintenance
  • Tackling electrical and mechanical faults with confidence
  • Providing hands-on technical support when issues escalate
  • Completing essential engineering admin and records
  • Supporting apprentices and sharing practical knowledge
  • Stepping in for the Engineering Manager when required
  • Covering holidays and taking part in the call-out rota

What You’ll Bring

  • An electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with high-speed and automated machinery, ideally in FMCG
  • Excellent electrical fault-finding skills
  • Confidence working independently and making informed decisions
  • Flexibility to adapt to shift demands and changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills with natural leadership ability
  • Previous supervisory or team-lead experience

Shift Pattern

Two-week rotation: Week 1: Monday to Saturday, 06:00-14:00; Week 2: Monday to Friday, 13:45-21:45

Pay Rate

£20.51 - £21.51 per hour, dependent on experience
