A permanent role as an electrical fitter, electrical assembler, or machine assembler in an established manufacturing company in Keynsham.

Salary: £15.96 per hour or £30,707 annually + overtime at 1.5 or x 2.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37-hour week, with flexible start and finish times.

The role involves:

  • Building and installing electrical sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, schematics, and specification sheets.
  • Checking and verifying the accuracy of assemblies and control panels upon completion.
  • Bench fitting work and building electrical sub-assemblies.
  • Setting up machines to specified tolerances and capabilities.
  • Functional testing and fault finding.
  • Using conventional hand and machine tools.
  • Opportunities to support visits to customers for commissioning, testing, and setting up machines.

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Understanding of wiring diagrams and experience in testing and diagnosing machinery.
  • Experience in electrical assembly and building capital or packaging machinery.
  • Control panel wiring and ability to read technical wiring diagrams.
  • An electrical apprenticeship or technical training to City & Guilds or NVQ qualification is ideal, but candidates with experience through a time-served route will also be considered.
