Hours: Monday to Friday, 37-hour week, with flexible start and finish times.
The role involves:
- Building and installing electrical sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, schematics, and specification sheets.
- Checking and verifying the accuracy of assemblies and control panels upon completion.
- Bench fitting work and building electrical sub-assemblies.
- Setting up machines to specified tolerances and capabilities.
- Functional testing and fault finding.
- Using conventional hand and machine tools.
- Opportunities to support visits to customers for commissioning, testing, and setting up machines.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Understanding of wiring diagrams and experience in testing and diagnosing machinery.
- Experience in electrical assembly and building capital or packaging machinery.
- Control panel wiring and ability to read technical wiring diagrams.
- An electrical apprenticeship or technical training to City & Guilds or NVQ qualification is ideal, but candidates with experience through a time-served route will also be considered.
