We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client who works within the FMCG sector. Working in a team reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out all pre-planned and reactive maintenance on a large site. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all production machinery and systems operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.
A typical day / night as an engineer will encompass the following:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all plant equipment and machinery.
- Maintain all systems and machinery within the site including conveyor systems, air conditioning and cooling systems.
- Carry out all work in line with operational compliance requirements.
- Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work carried out and provide required reports to the engineering manager.
- Manage an inventory of spare parts, ensuring critical components are available when required.
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Be able to work a rotating day and nightshift shift pattern.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) or have come through an apprentice scheme in engineering.
- Experience of working as a maintenance engineer within an FMCG company with automated systems knowledge.
- Have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Be flexible with a can-do attitude and can work on your own and within a team.
- Excellent team working and communication skills.
