CNC Machinist
Salary £43,000 n ight shift (including shift allowance) Bristol BS34, 37.5 hours a week Sunday 22.00 to Friday 06.00, 5 night shift pattern working 22.00 – 6:00, 25 days + bank holidays, company pension, paid for work socials, parking.
Friendly, successful and expanding aerospace engineering company in Bristol are recruiting for a cnc machinist or cnc miller to work on their night shift who would report to the shift supervisor.
Responsibilities for the cnc machinist or cnc miller night shift
*Setting up and operating 3-axis cnc milling machines.
*Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
*Running Mazaks with Mazatrol contols and Haas but similar
machining experience would be of interest.
*Selecting appropriate tooling for job.
*Working with quality team to ensure part-conformity and traceability.
*Communicating any equipment needs with Engineering & Quality
managers.
Key Skills required for the cnc machinist or cnc miller night shift
*Minimum 2 years\’ experience operating cnc machinery
*Setting and operating cnc machines – preferably cnc milling machines
*Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
*Experience of 3 axis milling machining centers preferable but not essential
*Ability to do basic editing cnc programs to suit need if required
*Fanuc experience preferable but not essential
* Using measuring tools – vernier and calipers
*Ability to record information and communicate effectively with colleagues
