Calibration Technician Mobile role Engineer required for a permanent position role undertaking, test repair and calibration of a wide range of measuring equipment and instrumentation to precision tolerances. The role may suit a mechanical graduate, laboratory technician or someone who has worked with quality engineering who has experience of calibrating their own equipment and is looking for a mobile role. The role: Undertake testing and calibration of measuring equipment for industries such as railway, laboratories, hospitals and automotive Working with electrical and mechanical instrumentation for a wide verity of industries Working on pressure gauges, dimensional measuring equipment, temperature, torque, and LF and RF electrical equipment Ensure that all equipment works in line with industry standards Producing equipment reports and recommendations Testing and repair of calibration equipment mechanical strip down and rebuild as required. Work to customer delivery targets The person Have confident mechanical or electrical and ideally hold a relevant engineering qualification Ideally have previous experience of instrument calibration Be keen to learn new skills Happy to work and stay away from home Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in repair to the component level. Ability to diagnose and repair equipment that fails calibration. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
