Skilled Bench Joiner required for a bespoke furniture manufacturer on the outskirts of York. Working with a variety of woods, including soft and hard woods, you will be responsible for producing high quality, bespoke products in a workshop environment. The role would suit somebody from a cabinet or furniture making background with strong attention to detail and a desire to create bespoke furniture to a high standard.
The role:
- Producing bespoke one-off and small batch products to customer requirements
- Working with hard and soft woods
- Reading and working to manufacturing drawings unsupervised
- Working to high quality standards
- Using a range of hand tools and operating machinery and saws
- Working to production targets
- Working in line with health and safety standards
The Person will:
- Have confident bench joinery experience in a quality driven environment
- Be able to read and work to drawings
- Work as an enthusiastic and flexible member of the team
- Be organised and methodical, paying attention to detail
- Be reliable with a good record of attendance and timekeeping
- Be professional, hard-working and conscientious with a positive attitude
- Have a proven background in producing high quality components
