This is an interesting and varied role working for a busy manufacturing company based in Gloucester. The roles cover three main areas of manufacturing:
- Plating which involves preparing moulds for the plating process (lacquering / taping up / shielding etc) and ensuring products are being plated to the correct plating schedule.
- Filling infiltrated products using various manual filling methods and using the centrifugal spinning method of manufacture. You will also control and mix powder stocks as required for the production process.
- Setting reverse plated and infiltrated rotary truers with the required setting method/pattern. You will also be responsible for controlling materials within the area.
The ideal Assembler / Process Operator for this role will be:
- Basic electrical and mechanical understanding
- Physically strong as there is some heavy lifting involved
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Good understanding of H&S principles and the importance of care around chemicals
