A Huddersfield based Engineering company who have invented, designed and patented an extremely successful solution, has an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer (Electrical bias) to join their team. The role will involve:
- Working on a range of specialist equipment designed, built and maintained in house.
- Dealing with builds, repairs, breakdowns, fault finding and site support.
- Voicing ideas for design changes and development to eliminate repetitive faults.
- Occasionally attending site to perform fault diagnosis and repair, which can be UK or overseas (currently around once every 2 months but this will vary).
Requirements:
- Driving license and passport.
- Good problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Relevant electrical experience (automotive or site/appliance).
- Ability to perform electrical modifications and upgrades to existing equipment.
- Familiarity with motors, relays, switches, connectors, crimping and soldering.
- Able to understand and work from electrical wiring diagrams.
- Any experience in the following areas would be an advantage (but not essential):
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Experience of 12V & 24V systems.
- Awareness of PLCs and HMIs.
- PAT Testing.
- Able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
