An iconic and reputable organisation is looking for a Junior Marketing Assistant to join the team on a fixed term basis for 3-6 months. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00 and Friday 09:00 to 13:00, and the client does offer the opportunity to work from home occasionally.
General duties of Junior Marketing Assistant include:
- Collect, scan and catalogue the product and marketing archive
- Co-ordinate the production and distribution of various communications for internal and external customers - help create content
- Assist in market research e.g. retail chain reviews and competitive product analysis
- Assist the social media creative team on shoots and ideas, find frequent search terms and or questions for future video ideas, blog / content creation, finding social content ideas
- Assist in the preparation and attendance of trade and consumer events
- Organise storeroom
- Organise and distribute samples
- Ensure all imagery is correctly digitally catalogued and available to key stakeholders
- Ad hoc projects within the context of maximising the returns from the brand
- Help to create and review website content from a non-current consumer standpoint
- Create a calendar of important culture events
- Investigate ways of reaching new customers such as search terms and SEO opportunities
- Conduct SWOT analysis for brand
- Work with Marketing team to identify new avenues to reach consumers
Key Skills and Experience required of Junior Marketing Assistant:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Willingness to acquire knowledge in marketing of consumer products
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Effective written and documentation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and initiative to work independently
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Confidence to engage all levels within the business
- Moral courage to make a difference and willingness to learn by experience
