The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

You will undertake electrical engineering design for HVAC equipment. This will include reviewing and implementing client specifications into equipment requirements, document preparation to meet submission deadlines, coordination with suppliers of electrical equipment and components of packages as instructed. This is an office-based role. You will work Monday-Thursday with week 1 Friday off and week 2 Friday working 4 hours. The working hours are flexible starting between 07:00-09:00 and finishing between 16:15-18:15 Monday-Thursday, same start time on the Friday worked but finishing between 11:00-13:00.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Electrical engineering design including calculations and specify/select electrical parts.
  • Prepare, review and comment on wiring and connection diagrams, termination diagrams, motor data sheets, instrument schedules, I/O lists etc.
  • Coordinate and oversee electrical equipment packages with suppliers which can include HVAC control panels and thyristor control panels.
  • Review and comment on local skid mounted panels that form part of a supplier’s equipment package.
  • Review project specifications and applicable international and national standards to ensure requirements are incorporated into the design.
  • Review ATEX documentation and ensure special requirements for installation are incorporated into the equipment design and drawings.
  • Attend internal, client and supplier meetings as necessary to discuss EC & I on the project. Site visits may be required for technical meetings and equipment inspections.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure EC & I project deliverables are achieved in a timely manner and to provide technical support and raise technical queries to resolve EC & I design issues and concerns.
  • Seek ways to improve processes and performance in line with the company continuous improvement programme.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Engineering degree or qualified by experience.
  • Experience of projects with bespoke specification requirements such as nuclear, oil and gas and offshore windfarms.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ATEX and incorporating requirements into an electrical design.
