Our client is a fast growing, service-based company supporting the butchery, hospitality, packaging, processing, and medical sectors across the UK.
They provide engineering support, servicing, breakdowns and equipment solutions for food-related operations.
If you’re passionate about engineering, enjoy working in a hands-on environment, and have experience working with both single-phase (230V) and three-phase (440V) power supplies, we’d love to hear from you.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a key stage of its growth and development.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
A company van, fuel card, tools and equipment and in-house training and development is provided.
Responsibilities of Mobile Service Engineer
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites - predominantly vacuum packaging machinery and tabletop slicers.
- Repair and refurbish equipment in the workshop.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Provide training and support to customers on the proper use of equipment.
- Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product performance based on field feedback.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while on-site.
Skills and experiences required of Mobile Service Engineer
- Experience working with single-phase (230V) and three-phase (440V) electrical systems.
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills, including maintenance, repair and refurbishment of machinery.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and effectively.
- Experience working with packaging, food processing or similar industrial machinery; experience with vacuum packaging machines or slicers is advantageous.
- Confident communicating with customers, providing technical support and explaining the correct use of equipment.
- Able to work independently at customer sites while managing jobs safely, professionally and efficiently.
