Asbestos and H&S Supervisor

Role and responsibilities: * Prepare and maintain the Asbestos Management Plan * Plan and manage asbestos surveys and inspections * Maintain and update the Asbestos Register * Appoint Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractors to undertake removal and/or remedial works, and to undertake surveys and periodic inspections * Technical oversight and supervision of project works * Prepare training material and provide training to staff and stakeholders * Promote H&S initiatives and act as an internal H&S Engineering advisor * Drive improvements in processes to reduce health and safety risks * Liaise with stakeholders to ensure engagement and commitment * Review RAMS, and undertake site inspections to identify opportunities * Recommend improvements to engineering tasks Skills, know-how and experience required: * Technical, construction, building or trade background * Qualified in P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings * Relevant H&S management qualification e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or similar * Conversant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Health & Safety Guidance (HSG) publications applicable to Asbestos * Understanding of Risk Management and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards, along with working knowledge of CDM 2015 Remuneration & Benefits * 5 weeks annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata) * Generous contributory pension sch…
