Job Description
Job Summary
Working for a growing family run business, you will be responsible for the execution of Passive Fire Projects including Fire Door Repairs, Fire Door Installations and App based Fire Door surveys contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
The workday will start at 7am and will usually finish around 4:30pm, however this may vary based on project requirements and needs. You will work Monday to Friday, with an unpaid 30-minute break. You will mainly be out on the road, working on projects (mainly in London and the Southeast) with the need to attend the office for meetings, loading etc. A company vehicle will be provided.
Primary Responsibilities for Project Technician
- Carrying out Fire Door Repair Works
- Carrying out Fire Door Installations
- Ensuring on time delivery of Fire Door/ Fire Stopping Projects
- Ensuring that sites/projects are completed to a satisfactory standard – including making good as required.
- Completion of Fire Door Projects (being on site to get everything sorted and ensuring a positive client experience.) Assisting other the Fire Door technicians as required.
- Making good & decoration works to door sets as required
- Carrying out Site Surveys for both Fire Doors and Fire Stopping.
- Client liaison, ensuring positive client experience to leave a happy satisfied client.
- Fire Door and Fire Stopping Call Outs to be managed and executed within clients SLA’s.
Requirements
- Candidate must have previous experience in carpentry (2-3 years preferred)
- You must be motivated, strategic, reliable, enthusiastic, proactive, alert and resilient
- Physically fit, due to some heavy lifting of fire doors
- Ensure that customer requirements are managed and met
- Be able to work as part of a team and individually
- Be accountable for your own mandate
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Company performance related bonus (based on last year, this was £3,500 per person)
