The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
You will be fulfilling both design engineering and documentation control functions. You will have a good understanding of engineering drawing and drawing office practices, matched with a wide knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering materials. The ability to adapt and apply proven principles and formulas to engineering problems is vital.
You will work Monday-Thursday with week 1 Friday off and week 2 Friday working 4 hours. The working hours are flexible starting between 07:00-09:00 and finishing between 16:15-18:15 Monday-Thursday, same start time on the Friday worked but finishing between 11:00-13:00.
Responsibilities
- Using SolidWorks 3D package. Design and develop sheet metal designs.
- Using Driveworks 3D package to maintain and improve existing programs, and to develop new programs for existing and new products within the business.
- Produce detail manufacturing documentation using 2 and 3D CAD.
- Consult with peers to resolve design or general drawing office problems.
- Able to design electrical systems (simple) including component planning and selection. Hazardous area experience would be an advantage.
- Review and analyse specifications, standards, drawings, ideas and related data to assess factors affecting a design.
- Occasional FEA and Flow in 3D CAD and analyse results.
- Modify and revise existing design documentation as required.
