An exciting position has become available for a part time Accounts Assistant, working for an extremely reputable, very established family-owned business. You will need to be proficient in Sage 50 and will be responsible for a range of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks. This role supports the wider finance function and involves working with sales, purchase, and banking information to ensure accurate and timely record keeping. Please note, due to their location, you will need access to your own vehicle.
Role Responsibilities
- Process Sales Orders, Sales Invoices, and Credit Notes in Sage 50
- Enter Purchase Invoices and Credit Notes accurately
- Post payments and allocate them to supplier accounts
- Post receipts and allocate them to customer accounts
- Extract and reconcile eBay and Credit Card Sales Reports, assigning relevant invoice numbers
- Download and code PayPal transactions, allocating them to customer or supplier accounts
- Match purchase orders with supplier delivery notes and invoices for quantity and pricing accuracy
- Reconcile customer and supplier accounts regularly
- Handle and resolve supplier accounting queries
- Assist with supplier payment runs
- Support staff with accounts-related queries
- Create new customer accounts and conduct credit checks
