Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing up to 3 projects at any one time
- Working closely with the Head of SHEQ to ensure the highest standards of safety, updating on environmental issues, and ensuring quality
- Managing and supporting the Project Managers on each of your projects, providing guidance to ensure delivery excellence
- Providing thorough commercial and programme support
- Working with the Bid team, leading bid activity to produce tenders for projects within the Energy Division
- Leading innovation and compliance on all contracts
- Working closely with the commercial team, designers, planners, and site teams
- Client interface; attending regular meetings with the client and reporting on design and project completion timelines
- Effective monthly reporting to the Framework Manager
Background/skills & qualifications
- BEng/HND in Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 2 years of working in a Contracts Manager role
- Working knowledge of NEC suite of contracts
- A proven track record of securing and delivering large civil engineering projects
- CSCS card
- Full UK Driving Licence & willing to travel to project sites
- A background of delivering projects within a substation environment would be advantageous but not essential
Desired Qualifications/Skills
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution is desirable
- BEng in relevant engineering discipline (civil, mechanical, electrical) is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Full driving licence is essential
