With over 1,000 employees and a Β£150m turnover, were growingand now looking for an experienced Estimator to play a key role in our project delivery teams.
The RoleAs an Estimator you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical and ICA cost estimates for the process and water sector tenders. Working closely with other estimating disciplines, technical designers, commercial, and project teams, the Electrical Estimator provides experienced technical knowledge to the team and supports bid submissions to ensure project costs are accurately forecast and aligned with delivery requirements. What Youll Be Doing1) Estimating & Bid Support
- Attendance at site visits as required. With a focus on all electrical and ICA elements of the site to develop an understanding of the existing treatment process, controls philosophy and understand present constraints.
- Input into and presentation of the scope of work to the wider bid and project delivery teams. Including; proposed technical solution, key procurement packages and constructability considerations/risks.
- Prepare, in conjunction with other estimating disciplines, detailed electrical and ICA cost estimates for tenders within the Process and Water sector:
o Prepare single line diagrams and analyse using Amtech/Trimble software. o Prepare load, cable, instrumentation, IO schedules, or cable containment methods.
o Define work and supply packages and adjudication of procurement quotes received.
o Preparation and pricing of the cost estimate using RIB Candy estimating software. xgikmsk
o Identify risks associated with the project and capture in a risk register.
- Provide input to the tender programme with consideration of constructability, sequencing of work, durations of tasks, testing and commissioning requirements while ensuring process compliance (i.e. temporary works) throughout construction
