Te-Tech design, custom build and install a wide range of high quality control panels, motor control centres (MCC’s) and automation systems, offering conventional, intelligent and withdrawable systems with outstanding reliability and functionality.
The role involves working on electrical systems associated with water treatment works, pumping stations, and process facilities, ensuring compliance with UK electrical regulations, health & safety standards, and project specifications. The role will be split between head office in Southampton and projects based across the UK. You must be comfortable with travel and staying away during the week.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical Installation & Technical Works
- Wiring, Testing, Installation and Commissioning of Control Panels, Motor Control Centres and Associated Equipment.
- Carry out electrical terminations, modifications, and repairs in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Support electrical testing, fault-finding, and commissioning activities.
- Onsite Fault Finding and Modification of Electrical Control Systems.
- Equipment Selection and Purchasing.
- Pre-Contract Site Surveys.
- Creation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports and Other Site Paperwork.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Comply fully with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and site HSE procedures.
- Follow safe isolation, lock-off, and permit-to-work systems.
- Wear appropriate PPE and use tools and equipment safely.
- Participate in site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Report hazards, near-misses, and incidents promptly.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) and project requirements.
- Inspect own work and rectify defects where required.
- Assist with QA/QC checks, inspections, and testing procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Complete electrical installation records, test sheets, and inspection certificates accurately.
- Assist in updating as-built drawings and handover documentation.
- Provide progress updates to Senior Electricians or Supervisors.
- Teamwork & Coordination
- Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary site team including mechanical and civil trades.
- Support Senior Electricians and Electrical Supervisors as required.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues regarding work progress and technical issues.
