With over 1,000 employees and a £150m turnover, we’re growing—and now looking for a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to play a key role in our project delivery teams.
The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for delivering an effective end-to-end recruitment strategy to support central services, projects and operational sites across the UK. The role ensures the timely attraction and selection of high-quality talent across technical, professional, and site-based roles within multi-discipline sectors.
What You’ll Be Doing
- End-to-End Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy briefing through to offer and onboarding.
- Deliver recruitment for a wide range of roles, including engineers, site operatives and support functions.
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates in line with company and client requirements.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers across multiple sites and projects.
- Provide advice on role requirements, market conditions, and realistic hiring timelines.
- Coordinate interviews and selection processes efficiently.
- Candidate Attraction & Sourcing
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct search.
- Draft and manage job adverts aligned to the company’s employer brand.
- Support early careers, apprenticeship, or graduate recruitment activity where required.
- Compliance & Onboarding
- Ensure all recruitment activity complies with UK employment legislation, Right to Work, and GDPR.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks, onboarding, and mobilisation to site.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records on the ATS.
- Agency Liaison (where required)
- Work with approved recruitment agencies to support hard-to-fill or specialist roles.
- Manage agency candidates in line with agreed terms and processes.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track recruitment activity and provide regular updates on vacancies, pipelines, and time-to-hire.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.
- Keep up to date with market trends within engineering, water, and energy.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential
- Experience in an internal or agency recruitment role, preferably within engineering, construction, infrastructure, water, or energy.
- Experience managing multiple vacancies across different sites or projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK recruitment compliance, including Right to Work and GDPR.
- Excellent communication, organisation, administration and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment tools.
- Desirable
- Membership of REC or working towards.
- Experience recruiting within engineering, construction, utilities, water, or energy sector.
- Experience recruiting for regulated or safety-critical environments.
- Knowledge of IR35 and contractor recruitment.
