With over 1,000 employees and a £150m turnover, we’re growing—and now looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to play a key role in our project delivery teams.
The Setting Out Engineer will be joining our Water and Process division initially based at our clean water project in Midhurst, West Sussex. The role will be supporting the site manager providing setting out services and is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad skillset that will benefit your long term career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Setting out of civil engineering lines and levels.
- Quality assurance and administrative responsibilities.
- Promoting Health and Safety at all times and committing to continuous high standards.
- Surveying tasks.
- Ensuring quality control requirements are met.
- Reading and understanding drawings and specifications.
- Calculating quantities.
- Assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Complying with company policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- CSCS.
- Practical experience of setting out on civil engineering projects.
- Use of robotic kit.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience working to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards on site.
Desirable
- HND/BEng in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- SSSTS / SMSTS.
- Deep drainage / pipework experience.
