With over 1,000 employees and a £150m turnover, were growingand now looking for an experienced Estimator to play a key role in our project delivery teams.

The Role As an Estimator you'll be responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for water and energy engineering projects.

Working closely with technical, commercial, and project teams, the Estimator supports bid submissions and helps ensure project costs are accurately forecast and aligned with delivery requirements.

What Youll Be Doing 1) Estimating & Bid Support Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, mechanical, electrical, and process works across water and energy projects.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technical leads to understand scope and assumptions.

Support bid preparation by providing clear pricing input, cost narratives, and risk allowances.

Review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.2) Commercial & Risk Management Identify, quantify, and communicate risks and opportunities associated with project costs.

Assist in margin analysis and bid strategy discussions.

Maintain clear records of estimates, assumptions, and historical cost data.3) Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with the Estimating Manager, Senior Estimators, and Bid Teams to align estimates with bid strategy.

Coordinate with procurement and supply chain to obtain accurate material and subcontractor pricing.

Support project teams during pre-construction and early delivery stages to provide cost input.4) Process & Knowledge Management Maintain and update cost databases, benchmarks, and templates.

What Were Looking For Essential HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Experience as an Estimator in engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.

Understanding of water and/or energy sector project delivery.

RICS, CIOB, ICE)Experience working on framework contracts and multi-site projects.

Knowledge of NEC or other standard forms of contract.

Familiarity with estimating software or digital cost tools.
