TranSwap is an award-winning fintech provider that offers innovative cross-border payment and foreign exchange solutions for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). With a mission to simplify international payments, TranSwap enables companies to send and receive money globally with competitive exchange rates, lower fees, and faster processing times compared to traditional banks. We are headquartered in Singapore and are expanding rapidly. We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our UK office. This role requires a strong understanding of financial products, cross-border payments, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Role and responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across target markets (e.g. SMEs, enterprises, financial institutions)
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads and partnerships
- Develop strategic partnerships with banks, payment providers, and fintech platforms
- Drive revenue growth through client acquisition and account expansion
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
- Work closely with Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract closures
- Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within the fintech, payments, or financial services industry
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience in cross-border payments, FX, remittance, or treasury solutions is highly preferred
- Strong network within fintech, banking, or financial institutions is a plus
- Experience working in a regulated environment and collaborating with compliance teams
