Overview
Based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, Transvend Ltd are the world's leading manufacturer of water heaters for vehicles, and are looking to employ a full time (6 month probation period) manufacturing technician as the business continues to expand.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires an understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment. Training will be provided.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience and proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, ideally in manufacturing, or similar setting.
Responsibilities
- Use of a range of tools & parts to produce sub assemblies and products.
- Wiring up & testing circuitry, maintaining high quality standards.
- Quality control & testing of the products using specialist tools to maintain high safety standards.
- Recording data into Transvend's internal database.
- Working to build schedules & collaborating with team members to achieve production targets, ensuring products are dispatched to customers on time.
- Most importantly, you'll be part of a small team where everyone gets involved & feels valued whilst getting stuck in. You'll have to be a quick learner but support will always be available. Communication skills are key.
- The role is a full time position based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
- Core hours are 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday. Extra hours overtime hours could be available.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications/Essential skills
- At least 1 years previous experience in a manufacturing or technical role is preferred.
- A full, clean UK Driving licence.
- Windows computer operating system proficiency, including Microsoft office, specifically excel.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices within a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- 5 GCSE's, A-C, including Maths & English.
