TransUnion is a major credit reference agency, offering specialist services in fraud, identity and risk management, automated decisioning, and demographics. We support organisations across various sectors including finance, retail, telecommunications, utilities, gaming, government, and insurance.
We’re looking for an Insights Analyst to join our Credit Card Analytics team. This team works with granular datasets (account level and transaction level data) to provide insights and strategic recommendations to credit card issuers in the UK market.
Day to Day You’ll Be:
- Analysing our complex datasets to ensure that our clients are provided with the highest quality actionable recommendations to optimise their business.
- Building custom data queries to extract and manipulate the necessary data to align with internal and client requests.
- Solving challenging business problems and presenting findings to clients, management, and peers.
- Validating that data is accurate and deliverables are client ready.
- Undertaking various process improvement projects to increase operational efficiency and handling daily production support issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in statistics, industrial engineering, mathematics, economics, computer science, finance, or related field.
- Comfortable working with data and presenting detailed analytical reports/presentations to audiences of varying technical knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Previous SQL experience and data visualization or statistical software a plus.
- Previous experience within retail banking or financial services is desirable.
- Previous experience working in an analytical role or undertaking analytical projects is desirable.
