What You'll Bring:
We’re looking for a Bid Manager to join our growing Sales Operations team. Reporting to the Head of Sales Operations, the bid manager is responsible for assembling and managing the bid, the process, and stakeholders, preparing winning bids and maximizing sales. Using the bid process, the bid manager will direct the bid ensuring complete team adherence to templates, tools and governance gates, having full responsibility for the resulting bid response.
Day to Day You’ll Be:
- Program manage the bid generation and submissions process
- Have a clear understanding and interpretation of the questions and requirements within the bid document
- Maintain and update the library of company standard documentation for submissions
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a library of associated content is stored and readily available
- Review content of bids, pricing sheets and formatting to ensure all materials have been responded to
- Support the bid qualification process (bid go/no go)
- Manage input from a variety of stakeholders including sales, marketing, finance, legal, pricing and infosec
- Reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid (which will be driven by pricing)
- Contribute to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation
- Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids working with several internal resources to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensure post bid status is documented - contract awarded/unsuccessful
- Management reporting on performance of the bid space
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Prior demonstrable experience of proposal/bid management within any sector
- Project management experience with multiple team members and internal/external stakeholders
- Highly experienced in Microsoft Office Suite with exceptional Word and PowerPoint skills
- Highest standard of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Desirable APMP certification
