The predicted salary is between 49000 - 79000 £ per year.
Maternity Leave cover for up to 9 months (depending on start date). Part time hours up to 7 APs per week. Mill Lodge is a 10 bedded mixed general adolescent inpatient unit with Willow View, a day unit for up to 8 young people with eating disorders attached. Both are commissioned by the Humber and North Yorkshire Provider Collaborative. The successful applicant will join the established 0.7 WTE Consultant Psychiatrist and will provide clinical leadership and senior psychiatric input into Mill Lodge with cross cover into Willow View.
Main Duties of the Job
- A bespoke SAS CPD training programme
- Access to a study leave budget providing CPD, conferences, workshops and courses
- Attendance to internal weekly educational meetings alongside Consultants and trainees where you can meet Psychiatrists from across the Trust
- Monthly clinical supervision with Consultant Supervisor
- Support to pass the MRCPsych exams and to gain Section 12 approval if required
- Membership of a peer group and the SAS committee
- 2 protected SPA sessions a week
- Opportunities may arise for emergency on‑call work if desirable
- Invitation to annual Medical Leadership Day
- Opportunity to apply for Trust medical leadership positions
- Revalidation and appraisal is well established within the Trust and all Specialty Doctors are expected to participate in the annual medical appraisal process

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership, senior psychiatric input, and cross‑cover between Mill Lodge and Willow View. They will be involved in the daily management of the unit, participate in MDT meetings, support staff and family, and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- MBBS/MBChB or equivalent and GMC registration
- Recent (within 12 months) clinical experience; plus 4 years whole‑time equivalent work as a doctor with 2 years in psychiatry
- Evidence of experience working within an MDT
- Evidence of excellent communication skills
- Evidence of team working skills

Applicants must have current UK professional registration. The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check as per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Remuneration and Contract
Salary: £61,542 to £99,216 a year pro rata. Contract: Fixed term, 9 months duration. Working pattern: Full‑time (part‑time hours up to 7 APs per week). Contract type: Specialty Doctor.
