The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
To build strong working relationships with colleagues to ensure a consistent team approach to achieve the required performance. This will involve monitoring movements of vehicles within the depot and ensuring they are effectively deployed.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that vehicle cleanliness and vehicle and driver presentation standards meet the requirement of the London buses BCES Surveys.
- Ensure that required audits are carried out in a timely manner and accurately.
- Manage vehicle and pedestrian movements within the depot.
- Ensure that all visitors including deliveries comply with the local H&S requirements.
- Ensure timely departures from the depot as well as the monitoring and supervision of meal reliefs and changeovers as appropriate.
- Manage the vehicle parking within the depot to ensure that all drivers adhere to H&S procedures.
- Ensure TfL equipment such as Oyster/ETM and modules are being managed correctly and faults reported via the ERF to TfL as required.
- Ensure that where required comprehensive driver first use checks are undertaken.
- Daily reconciliation of first use checks, VCR checks and ramp audits on a daily and weekly basis.
- Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times, including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the Grade.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- It is essential that the successful candidate has good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from Operations, Engineering, and other departments.
- Good knowledge of bus operations.
- PCV licence with CPC is essential.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all colleagues and internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be willing to undertake training as seen fit by the operations manager.
- Must have the ability to work to deadlines and be punctual.
