Lead Driver – Oakham, Rutland

The new vacancy at the Rutland Depot is for a Lead Driver starting 1 January 2025. TransportConnect Ltd values both customers and teamwork and is looking for a motivated individual to head the team at Oakham, Rutland.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive all routes and cover all services.
• Distribute and organise rotas and bus routes.
• Manage logistics and vehicle movements.
• Support the Supervisor with shift pattern management.
• Motivate and lead the team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• D or D1 driving licence.
• Current CPC and LCC DBS (preferred).
• Full enhanced DBS check will be performed.
• Excel and Word skills.
• Experience or training suitable for younger/new transport applicants is welcomed.

Career Path

Career progression from Passenger Service Transport D1 or D to Lead Driver, Supervisor, Office CPC holder and up to Transport Manager.
