About the Role
As a Wind Turbine Technician, you\’ll ensure turbines operate safely and efficiently. The role is primarily full travel across the U.S., with some location-specific positions noted in job postings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain components.
- Troubleshoot equipment and conduct preventive maintenance to optimize performance and safety.
- Work at heights over 300 feet, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
- Follow safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture.
- Keep detailed records of all service and repair activities.

Qualifications
- Graduated from Airstreams School (required).
- Comfortable working at heights, with mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- Strong safety and teamwork commitment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; willingness to travel extensively.
- Active GWO certifications preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
Physical Demands
- Climb ladders with tools to heights over 260 feet.
- Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Work in extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods.
- Access confined spaces for mechanical work.
- Wear all required PPE.
- Work beyond normal hours as needed.
