We are looking for an innovative, self‑starting individual with a passion for working in the busy and dynamic bus industry. If this is you, then why not apply to join us at Transport UK London Bus. We are recruiting an Advanced Engineer to join our Engineering team, working a shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off (with voluntary overtime available) or 5‑day shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, repair and maintain our buses.
  • Investigate and diagnose mechanical and electronic faults.
  • Record faults and work completed using a tablet.
  • Follow safety instructions and report any issues.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • At least an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or HGVs (or an equivalent international qualification).
  • Current IRTEC in service maintenance technician, inspection technician or advanced technician; training will be provided if not held.
  • PCV licence desirable but not essential; we will train you to drive our buses.
  • Good standard of Maths and English.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and service manuals.
  • Know how to use fleet management technical computer systems.
  • Team‑oriented, working well with colleagues or across departments.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work flexibly (e.g., relocating to a different depot or taking a different shift).
  • Willful to take any training requested by the service manager.
  • Use initiative to work independently.
  • Safety conscious in all tasks.
