To assist the Engineering Department and the Stores function to ensure its smooth and efficient operation. To control the use, and resupply of bus parts and the stores. Responsible for the daily fuel level checks and supervision of the deliveries - and when they are due to be delivered to site. Monitoring and control of Oils and Lubricants. Ensuring that daily stock movements occur between sites to respond to the needs of the Fleet Managers. Provide administration for engineering department.
Key Responsibilities
- The management of all wet and dry stock to ensure that their holding and use is appropriate and in line with agreed budgets and forecasts and consumption complies with all Company policies and regulatory requirements under the delegation of authority. This will include ordering and receipting of goods, packaging up dirty components to return to suppliers, restocking shelves and keeping a clean and tidy workplace.
- Responsible for the daily fuel dips and deliveries.
- Provide administration support for the Engineering function.
- Required to help with Stores projects to ensure they run efficiently and professionally.
- Required to support 6 monthly and annual Stock counts.
- Understand and follow engineering materials budgets as set by the Purchasing & Inventory Manager and the local Fleet Manager.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Be well organised with good attention to detail.
- Have strong IT skills.
- Have effective communications skills, self motivated and enthusiastic.
- Be comfortable working as a part of a team and equally on own initiative.
- Good timekeeping and highly reliable.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Stores background is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
- Background within a PSV Bus operational workshop environment preferable.
