We are looking for experienced engineers to help us progress a number of key projects and programmes on the trunk road network and to maintain our status as a Centre of Excellence for the delivery of major projects. To help us deliver our responsibilities we are seeking suitably qualified and experienced applicants to fill a number of senior grade civil engineering posts in the Major Projects Directorate. Successful applicants will be allocated posts that most closely appear to match their skills and experience.
These are exciting and challenging roles that make a real difference to the lives of people living in Scotland, now and in the future. The Major Projects Directorate within Transport Scotland is responsible for the design, assessment, promotion, procurement and construction of major transport infrastructure projects included in the current Scottish Motorway and Trunk Road Programme and new projects emerging from the second Strategic Transport Projects Review (STPR2). The Directorate also leads and advises on procurement and contract management matters for Transport Scotland.
We have a number of projects of varying sizes, and at varying stages, so there are exciting roles to suit everyone. Key projects include A9 Dualling Perth to Inverness, A83 Rest and Be Thankful, A96 improvements including dualling Inverness to Nairn and the M8 Woodside Viaducts project.
