Role responsibilities
- Lead, support and advance a portfolio of early stage regional transport related projects by actively engaging and managing the local regional challenges, geographies, and transport maturity to development the support of transport structure business cases.
- Provide leadership and effective influencing, bring together the key strategic outcomes for multi modal transport integration in the region by working with regional stakeholders’ groups to support the implementation of the regional transport plan and the work of the Corporate Joint Committee (CJC)
- Support the development of the TfW system architecture by working with various technical teams across the organisation to ensure the appropriate infrastructure is in place to deliver TfW strategic objectives.
- Provide credible transport policy and propositions by collating insights and innovation, leveraging acumen of the political landscape and identifying potential challenge by using industry knowledge and networks, current transport agenda and political networks to advise colleagues in TfW on key transport policy.
Who we’re looking for
- A degree level qualification in transport planning, business management, engineering, science, other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Chartered member of a relevant professional discipline or currently working toward chartership.
- Proven experience of working on a variety of transport related projects as a Programme Manager.
- Experience of applying the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, Better Business Case Five Case Model and WelTAG in relation to transport projects.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
