Contract type: this is a 2-year fixed-term contract.

Our Apprenticeship Academy offers opportunities to gain further qualifications without following the traditional educational route. We aim to be fully representative of our diverse communities across Wales.

The Supply Chain and Contract Management apprentice will support both the Supply Chain and Contract Management teams to drive forward their strategic projects and management activities to mitigate risk and deliver value from our supply chain relationships and contracts. This role will support compliance with existing and new legislation.

Role responsibilities:

  • Support the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in gathering and presenting information, by meeting with internal stakeholders, using templates to capture qualitative and quantitative data, checking information for accuracy, and organising it into clear summaries.
  • Support market engagement activities for upcoming procurement exercises by supporting event planning, preparing supplier briefing packs, creating feedback surveys, taking notes during sessions, and collating supplier responses.
  • Assist with developing and digitalising the contract and supplier performance management system, by gathering user requirements, testing system features, uploading or validating performance data, and supporting the creation of dashboards or guidance materials.
  • Analyse contract and supplier performance data, by utilising digital platforms to check for trends, issues and areas of risk, in order to produce reports and visual summaries.

Who we’re looking for:

  • An interest in pursuing a career in Procurement, Supply Chain and/or Contract Management.
  • IT skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, and external partners.
  • Available to start the Apprenticeship Scheme in early September 2026.

Welsh Language Skills: While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application. TfW supports anyone who wants to learn Welsh or improve their skills.
