Role responsibilities
The role of the Cleaning Operative is to carry out cleaning specified tasks onboard our trains and stations within Transport for Wales (TFW) cleaning operations.
- Clean designated facility areas including train services by using equipment provided and the relevant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure all allocated tasks such as damp wiping, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, 197 Kitchen cleaning, luggage racks are completed during the relevant timescales.
- Clean station platforms and specific areas by emptying bins, graffiti removal, removing pigeon excrement subject to training to provide customers and colleagues a clean and safe environment
- Replenish and restock designated facility areas by using supplies provided, such as . soap, toilet rolls to provide customers and colleagues a clean and safe environment
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks where required by using relevant machinery to clean carpets, steam clean areas and occasionally jet wash facilities stations when required
Who we\’re looking for
- Experience of working in a cleaning role.
- Ability to handle equipment and materials
- Understand and work within Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Understanding of how to safely handle cleaning substances.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
