Allocate servicing, examination and repair work to staff under you oversee, ensuring that safety standards, productivity, availability and reliability targets are met at all times.

Role Responsibilities

  • To allocate and direct the team under your leadership, ensuring they carry out repairs and examinations on all Traction and Rolling Stock in accordance with the DMS, VMI or Local Instructions, as supplied by the Technical Department.
  • Carry out Quality checks on Examinations as per Depot Quality System. Identifying deficiencies within the team skill base and liaising with the Shift Production Manager to ensure training requirements are met.
  • Ensure that all staff are certified competent to undertake maintenance tasks as well as any other Depot Working and Technical Instructions.
  • Ensure competencies are maintained.
  • Assist the Production Manager in developing good employee relations and report on disciplinary matters.

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Craftsmen (Minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
  • Craft experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Experience of managing resources

Welsh Language Skills
