Role responsibilities
The D365 Transition Manager (Testing and Cutover) will be responsible for end-to-end testing of the dynamics project for Transport for Wales. It will also oversee the cutover process, including data migration, system configuration.
• Develop a plan to coordinate and execute testing cycles, including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing to ensure system readiness and business functionality
• Identify and manage process defects by logging, triaging, and tracking issues in Azure DevOps (ADO) and working closely with the project team and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and risk mitigation
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation by using Azure DevOps (test plans, test cases, and test scripts) that reflect business requirements and provide traceability throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Support alignment between business stakeholders and the project team by providing advice and guidance to ensure testing activities align with project objectives and timelines.
Who we’re looking for
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in managing testing cycles, including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing.
• Demonstrable experience of cutover processes, including data migration, system configuration, and user training.
• Demonstrable experience of stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing the successful project delivery.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
