The Role
The Customer Host will work as part of a team responsible for the day to day delivery of a high standard on-board catering service to passengers.
Role Responsibilities
- Offer passengers the on-board trolley service throughout the journey, complying with health and safety protocols at all times to meet customer needs and ensure a high-quality customer service.
- Be responsible for on-board trolley stock by checking the trolley has enough supply for serving customers prior to the train departing to ensure we can provide the on-board service.
- Be responsible for maintaining the trolley by keeping it clean, well equipped with an up-to date price list and report any condition issues to the Depot Manager to enable us to provide the on-board service.
- Comply with health and safety policies and procedures, safety protocols and briefs by adhering to relevant regulations including COSHH assessments and food hygiene standards to ensure we provide a safe and hygienic on-board service.
- Keep up to date with learning and development by undertaking all regulatory, mandatory and refresher training as and when required to ensure you are compliant with regulations and methods of best practice.
Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience of working in a customer focused role.
- Ability to upsell and promote products to the general public.
- Flexible and available to work the shifts required.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
