Corporate Reporting Analyst - Pontypridd, Wales

The Corporate Reporting Analyst is responsible for transforming organisational data, KPIs, and commentary into high-quality, standardised reports and dashboards for executive and board-level audiences. By ensuring accuracy and clarity, the role delivers strategic insights that inform decision-making and may be published both internally and externally. The Analyst works collaboratively across the group to support performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
Role responsibilities
- Collate, validate, and standardise data, KPIs, and narrative commentary from multiple business units to produce accurate and insightful board and executive-level reports, ensuring alignment with organisational standards and reporting frameworks.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and visualisations that clearly communicate performance trends and strategic insights to senior stakeholders, supporting evidence-based decision-making.
- Review and quality-assure all reporting deliverables by checking for data integrity, consistency, and clarity, ensuring outputs are suitable for public and executive audiences.
- Support the implementation of the group's data governance and reporting standards by adhering to established processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting practices.
- Analyse performance data to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support organisational objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across all directorates to ensure timely and accurate data capture, fostering a culture of data quality and accountability.
- Assist in the automation and streamlining of reporting processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enhance the reliability of outputs.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training and guidance for business users on reporting tools and best practices, supporting the wider adoption of self-serve analytics.
- Support the preparation of regulatory and statutory reports, ensuring compliance with internal governance and external requirements.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of reporting processes, data sources, and methodologies to support transparency and audit readiness.
Who we're looking for
- Degree in Accountancy/Finance, Maths, Data Science or Business Studies or similar, or significant relevant experience.
- Demonstrable experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or corporate reporting, with a high level of proficiency in tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, with experience in validating and quality-assuring complex data sets.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely for executive and public audiences.
- Experience of working within established data governance and reporting frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines.
